Historically known as Neriomagos, then as Aquae Neriae in the Roman age of thermal history, Néris-les-Bains was in full flow during the golden age of thermal activity in the 19th century. Today, it possesses all the charm and heritage unique to the spa towns.
Proud of its Belle Époque heritage, the small thermal town of Allier has managed to preserve its thermal baths, parks, Italian-style theatre, casino and even an emblematic railway station which has been recently converted into a conference centre.
